Fees – Ruffner Appraisals & Consulting
Our fees are based on an hourly rate. The client is billed for on-site examination, research and reports and document preparation. In addition, expenses for printing, photography, research, travel or other items related to performing the appraisal are billed to the client. An estimate of the appraisal fee is approved by the client prior to the start of the appraisal.
Prior to beginning the appraisal, a contract will be signed by both parties detailing the type of appraisal to be performed and the fee for the appraisal. A deposit of 50% of the estimated fee is due upon approval of the contract. Any additional fees incurred outside of the agreed scope of services will be approved by the client.
Fees for the brokerage or purchase of fine art are based upon a percentage of the sale price and are pre-negotiated with the client prior to the commencement of the contract.
